Job Type: Full-Time
Expected Hours: 50-55 hours per week
Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates who do not meet the minimum will NOT be considered.

Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience.

Prior experience as a cook or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Formal culinary training is preferred.

Must be fluent in Spanish; English proficiency preferred.

Excellent cooking, time management, and leadership skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.

Food Manager Certification must be completed shortly after hiring.

We stay busy with large party events, takeout, and dine-in service—always focusing on quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in managing this busy, high-volume kitchen. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for someone with strong cooking skills, solid kitchen experience, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Whether you’re a current Sous Chef or a seasoned cook ready to step up, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary & Kitchen Operations.

Collaborate with the Head Chef to lead kitchen operations.

Direct and assist with food prep and execution during service.

Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation.

Learn and step into any kitchen station as needed.

Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently followed.

Keep stations clean and maintain kitchen equipment.

Team & Communication.

Supervise and support kitchen staff during service.

Communicate clearly with FOH on orders, dietary needs, and timing.

Coordinate with managers for large parties, takeout, and catering orders.

Help train and mentor new cooks on techniques, recipes, and procedures.

Support a respectful and team-oriented kitchen culture.

Inventory & Supply Chain.

Assist with ordering from Sysco and other vendors.

Manage inventory and minimize food waste.

Receive deliveries and communicate with delivery drivers.

Leadership & Problem Solving.

Stay calm under pressure and help the team stay focused during peak times.

Offer creative ideas and improvements for kitchen operations.

Lead by example in maintaining high kitchen standards.

Schedule:

10 hour shifts.

Day and night shifts are required.

Weekends and holidays require.

Responsabilidades clave

Operaciones culinarias y de cocina

Colaborar con el Head Chef para dirigir las operaciones de la cocina.

Dirigir y ayudar con la preparación de alimentos y ejecución durante el servicio.

Supervisar la calidad, consistencia y presentación de los alimentos.

Aprender y cubrir cualquier estación de cocina cuando sea necesario.

Garantizar que se cumplan los estándares de seguridad alimentaria y limpieza.

Mantener las estaciones limpias y el equipo de cocina en buen estado.

Equipo y comunicación

Supervisar y apoyar al personal de cocina durante el servicio.

Comunicarse claramente con el FOH (Front of House) sobre pedidos, necesidades dietéticas y tiempos.

Coordinar con los gerentes para eventos grandes, pedidos para llevar y catering.

Ayudar a entrenar y orientar a nuevos cocineros en técnicas, recetas y procedimientos.

Promover una cultura de cocina respetuosa y orientada al trabajo en equipo.

Inventario y cadena de suministro

Ayudar con pedidos a Sysco y otros proveedores.

Gestionar inventario y minimizar desperdicio de alimentos.

Recibir entregas y comunicarse con los repartidores.

Liderazgo y resolución de problemas

Mantener la calma bajo presión y ayudar al equipo a mantenerse enfocado durante horas pico.

Ofrecer ideas creativas y mejoras para las operaciones de la cocina.

Liderar con el ejemplo manteniendo altos estándares en la cocina.

Horario

Turnos de 10 horas.

Se requieren turnos de día y de noche.

Bar Manager- Lalla Grill Promenade

Bar Manager – Lalla Grill (Promenade, Marina)

Pay: $18–$19 per hour — plus tips
Schedule: Full-time position
Shifts: Evening and weekend availability required

Lalla Grill at the Promenade in Marina is a new restaurant opening soon, bringing a casual upscale dining experience with craft cocktails, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to help launch and lead our bar program and support our front-of-house team. This role will play an important part in building the bar culture, setting standards, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from day one.

You’ll report directly to the General Manager and work closely with bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional service.

Responsibilities:
Oversee daily bar operations and maintain a smooth, efficient service environment.
Help establish bar standards, procedures, and team expectations for opening.
Lead, train, and support bartenders and bar staff.
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages as needed.
Maintain drink quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
Manage bar inventory, ordering, and stock levels.
Monitor beverage costs and minimize waste.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
Verify guest IDs and ensure compliance with alcohol service laws.
Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management.
Support opening and closing duties.
Uphold sanitation, safety, and health department standards.

Requirements:
4–5 years of bartending experience in a restaurant or bar environment.
Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Professional, reliable, and guest-focused attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification — or ability to obtain after hire.
Food Handler Card — or ability to obtain after hire.
Must be at least 21 years old.
